Day 1 - Non-deliberate vs. Deliberate Attraction.
Ok... So I said Day 1 was going to start tomorrow, but I got into my reading and still feel like writing so I am going to start now :).
The beginning of the book talks about how we should start by focusing on the words we speak. Most times, we don't even take more then a split second to think about our words before they are out of our mouth. Once you have said words, (or even thought them) you are putting out a vibration.
The tip given in the book is every time you think something with a No, Not, Don't or other negative word, stop and think the opposite. For example, "I don't want to be late today." If you catch yourself saying something that you don't want, stop and say "what is it that I do want?" - You want to be on time. Good! Focus on that for a bit, feel how good it is going to feel when you get to your destination on time.
It's not always the easiest thing to think of what we want, but we always will be able to say what we don't want. Any time you have a negative thought remember this quick tip to change your words, thoughts and vibration. Take a few minutes to be thankful for everything running smoothly and letting you be on time. Doesn't that sound so much better then being stressed and negative before you even get to work, school or wherever you need to be??
Here's a few more examples:
* I don't have enough money for that. vs. I want that and soon will have the money, thanks!
* I just won't have time to do it all. vs. I have the time to do that and more!
* Don't be late today! vs. Please be on time!
I am going to start practicing this starting today. Anytime I say or think something with a negative in it. I am going to pause and think, "well what DO I want" and put my attention on that. I'll keep you updated!
I also think this goes right along with the "Make A List" part of The Secret. I used to have one, but it was over two years ago and things change. I would like to make my dream list (updated with some new dreams and cross off a few that have been reached over the last 2 years.) and a habit I want to start is reading it every day and feeling excited and thankful for everything to come!
Does anyone else have any rituals that they practice, what do you find your results are?
